The New 320 Main Lunch Menu
Salami Picante Flatbread
Lunch may be my favorite meal of the day. If you really think about it, there are some serious social rituals associated with breakfast and dinner, but lunch suffers from no real boundaries. You can have something light without people wondering if you’re on a diet, or you can have something heavy without people wondering how you’ll survive the day. You can have a sandwich. You can have soup. You can have pizza, burgers, chicken, pasta – the list just sort of goes on.
Beet Salad
And why shouldn’t it? There should be a meal with no compromise.
320 Main recently unveiled a new lunch menu that captures the flexible deliciousness of everyone’s mid-day meal perfectly with a variety of delectable dishes at prices designed to keep your wallet fat.

For the hungry person looking for a salad, you have options ranging from a Caesar or arugula salad to caprese antipasto with heirloom tomato and artichoke or our beet salad with roasted beets, herb goat cheese, macadamia nuts, and baby mache with a truffle vinaigrette dressing.
“Yes,” you’re thinking. “Those salads do all look tasty, but what if I want a salad with more umph?”
You asked for it? You got it. Take any salad on the lunch menu and you can add grilled chicken, shrimp, salmon, or steak – or any combination – to your salad for just a few bucks more. THAT is how you salad.

If you’re more of a pizza person, there are flatbreads to choose from. Our truffle crispy kale and mushroom flatbread is earthy and cheesy, but if you want something that’s a bit spicier, you can always turn to our new Salami Picante Flatbread (pictured at top) with spicy salami, red Fresno chilies, and mozzarella and parmesan cheeses.
Looking for something filling and a little decadent? It’s hard to go wrong with a crock of hot mac’n’cheese baked with cheddar, mozzarella, bleu, and swiss cheeses – especially when you can add roasted duck for only $2 more. Or opt instead for our new fish and chips with beer-battered cod and our house-made fries.

Of course, no lunch list is complete without sandwiches. Sandwiches are what civilization was founded on, and we won’t stand in the way of civilization. Old standbys like the meatloaf sandwich, French Dip (either with prime rib or lamb shoulder), grilled portobello mushroom burger, or a grilled cheese sandwich served with tomato soup still offer themselves up on the menu. We’ve added our new bacon cheddar sliders with cheddar, bacon, and caramelized onions to the lunchtime specials. Oh, and some little sandwich made with cold lobster salad. You know, because that’s just how we lobster roll. (Thank you! I’ll be here all week!)
Any of these options can be yours and all of them come with a FREE draft beer, house wine from Snapdragon, or a refillable soft drink.
Lunch. Who cares about dinner?

The Banh Mi
![]() |
| 320 Main's Banh Mi. |
Good luck convincing anyone of that in the US, where the French-style baguette from Vietnam has become synonymous with the sandwiches that are made with it. Indeed, drive through any neighborhood with a large Vietnamese population (such as Garden Grove, right up the 22 freeway from Seal Beach) and you’ll see plenty of shops advertising Banh Mi sandwiches. Usually these sandwiches are labeled as Banh Mi with whatever their filling may be. For example, you’ll see things like Banh Mi Thit – meaning a Banh Mi baguette filled with meat (pork belly being the most common).
As with so many sandwiches, there are no hard-and-fast rules when it comes to good Banh Mi. There’s a mix of cultures going on here, and so we find that French baguette a necessity – and little else. Typically you’ll find some other French influences like mayonnaise and maybe even pate paired with cilantro, peppers, and pickled vegetables. This fusion of East and West in sandwichular form (this is our blog and we’ll make up our words as we see fit) has been called “the world’s greatest sandwich” as well as “the world’s greatest street food.”
With so many accolades being thrown about, how can 320 Main not indulge in trying our own hand at the Banh Mi?
We take a French roll and fill it with kurobuta pork belly, cucumber, jalapeños, cilantro, and pickled carrots and onions. Add some Sriracha hot sauce and jalapeño aioli in the place of regular mayo to the mix and you’ve got a sandwich that packs a wallop of flavor. Paired with our Sriracha coleslaw (if you wanted some more spice) or our house French fries and a cool cocktail like our new Gimlet, this sandwich will definitely help you relax into summer .

The Pato Cubano
![]() |
| The 320 Main Pato Cubano |
The Cuban Sandwich is both well-known, and yet, still rather mysterious. These sandwiches, originally called mixtos in Cuba, made their way to Florida when travel between the US and Cuba was frequent and easy. It is believed that it was in Florida that the Cuban Mixtos made their transition to the standard Cuban Sandwich of today: pressed Cuban-style bread, ham, shredded pork, swiss cheese, mustard, and dill pickles.
Of course, this is a sandwich we’re talking about, so rules tend to be more like guidelines. According to the city of Tampa, FL, the Tampa Historical Cuban Sandwich is the original and official Cuban Sandwich (their City Council said so). It’s very close to the formula above with salami added for good measure. Ask anyone in the Cuban community in Miami if that’s a Cuban Sandwich and you might get a knuckle sandwich instead, followed by an explanation of the fact that salami has no place in the sandwich, and that the heathens in Tampa probably don’t even make their bread properly.
Seal Beach is a long way from Florida - and even farther from Cuba - but that doesn’t mean that we at 320 Main can’t steal a little inspiration from a sandwich that is so beloved to try to make it our own.
320 Main’s Pato Cubano (Cuban Duck) replaces the ham of the traditional Cuban Sandwich with smoked duck, matches that with braised pork, tangy dijon mustard, swiss cheese, dill pickles, and fresh tomatoes - all on a pressed Cuban roll. Have one with our house fries or Sriracha coleslaw and - to stay with the Cuban theme - wash the entire delectable affair down with a hand-shaken Daiquri #3.
Pairs well with: Daiquri #3

The Bacon Buffalo Burger
![]() |
| The Bacon Buffalo Burger at 320 Main - $15. Comes with fries, Sriracha Coleslaw or a salad and pickle. |
320 Main has recently introduced a spectacular lunch menu. Previously only open for dinner, 320 Main's owners worked with head chef James Wilschke to create a selection of exceptional lunch items, the crown jewel of which is the mouth watering Bacon Buffalo Burger. No Americana restaurant's lunch menu would be complete without a burger, but 320 Main owners Jason and Rebecca Schiffer didn't want to offer just any burger on their lunch menu. "We wanted to offer an exceptional burger," says Jason.

"We wanted to stick with traditional Americana, but with a modern palette," explains Chef Wilschke, creator of the burger. "Modern Americana." The burger features red onion confit, arugula, heirloom tomatoes, and thick-cut black forest bacon on a mammoth, free-range buffalo patty grilled to the customer's liking. "I just took all of my favorite things and put them together. The black forest bacon has changed my whole perception of bacon," explains Chef Wilschke laughing. And last but not least, perhaps the most delicious and unique part about 320 Main's savory burger: Atop every buffalo burger comes a fried egg.
One bite of the Bacon Buffalo Burger and there will be no doubt in your mind that The Schiffer's and Chef Wilschke are culinary wizards. Pair your burger with a choice of fries, spicy slaw, or a salad, and a refreshing Chartreuse Swizzle (see left). To see what else 320 Main has cooking up for lunch, check out their menu here.
